Coaching for HR & People Leaders
You are the person everyone else goes to, but who’s in your corner?
You are the person everyone else goes to, but who’s in your corner?
HR and People leaders hold the organization’s hardest conversations: the performance issue nobody wants to name, the executive whose behavior everyone tolerates, the layoff, the investigation, the founder’s blind spot that’s quietly costing you your best people.
You carry what you can’t repeat. You advocate for a culture you may not have the authority to enforce. And you are expected to be steady while absorbing everyone else’s instability.
HR leaders tend to put others’ needs over their own as a rule. That instinct is what makes you good at this. It is also, over time, what wears you down.
Since 2014, Reboot has worked with thousands of leaders across the globe, including CHROs, Chief People Officers, and People leads at organizations from ten people to ten thousand.

“I highly recommend the team at Reboot. They’ve been such a help to me that I’ve hired them for my entire leadership team.”

The Arc of Growth: What's Needed as Your Company Goes from Ten to Two Hundred People
What becomes important internally as the team grows in size?
Reboot’s approach was shaped by a conviction that the quality of your leadership is inseparable from the quality of your self-understanding.
People leaders often arrive at coaching expecting to work on the organization — the exec team, the culture problem, the founder. That work happens. But it tends to open onto something else: your own relationship to conflict, to being needed, to setting a boundary, to being the one who is fine.
The organizational patterns you’re trying to change and the personal patterns you carry are usually connected. Coaching is where you get to work both.
There’s no shortage of people who will sell you a framework: an engagement survey, a values exercise, a competency model, an operating cadence. Some of it is useful.
But you already know most of the frameworks. What’s harder is the political and personal reality of implementing them: how to tell a CEO something they don’t want to hear, how to maintain boundaries when the organization has learned you don’t have any, how to keep your own values intact within a company that’s compromising on its own.
Reboot’s leadership coaching meets you there.
The practical half: influencing an executive team you don’t manage, giving hard feedback upward, designing group norms that people actually follow, building culture deliberately rather than by accident, knowing what a team needs at each stage of its development.
The deeper half: noticing what you do with your own anger, understanding why you find it easier to advocate for others than for yourself, examining the part of you that needs to be the steady one, and figuring out what you actually want from your career rather than what the organization needs from you.

Beyond Traditional Business Coaching
Working with a Reboot coach, you’ll develop the capacity to:
The Inner Work of Leadership
We believe that work does not have to destroy us. Work can be the way in which we achieve our fullest selves.
That belief is probably why you got into this work in the first place. Coaching is a place to reconnect with it — and to be, for an hour at a time, the person receiving support rather than the one providing it.
Many People leaders find us because they’re looking for coaches for someone else — a founder who needs support, an executive who’s struggling, a leadership team that isn’t functioning. We do that work through Reboot for Organizations, team experiences, and 360° Reviews.
If that’s why you’re here, we’d be glad to help. We’d also gently suggest that you consider whether you’re on the list.
Our 1:1 coaching contracts are month-to-month, with rates varying based on session length and frequency. A typical engagement includes two 60- or 80-minute sessions per month, with access to your coach between sessions.
Reboot was founded on the belief that in our work lies the possibility of the full realization of human potential. We believe that helping clients develop managerial skills is important, but not enough to create the transformation they’re seeking. To be a leader, you must also cultivate a fearless willingness to look deeply through self-inquiry.
We believe better leaders make better humans, and better humans create more humane organizations and places of systemic belonging. That’s your work too.
For over a decade, Reboot has guided leaders through the complex terrain of business and personal growth. These books capture the essence of our coaching methodology, helping you navigate the intersection of personal growth and professional excellence with humanity, courage, and purpose. They offer a roadmap to becoming not just a more effective leader, but a more complete human being.
